An Experienced Accountant (m/f/x)

Function

The role requires a broad understanding of day-to-day operational accounting, local legal requirements, and analytical ability to support the CFO and the management.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting, but we are looking for someone to replace our CFO who will retire in a few years.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and carry out work related to accounting, reconciliations and reporting.
• Declare VAT, salaries and corporate tax to tax authorities
• Manage client and project accounts
• Supplier invoices and payments
• Bank contacts
• Declarations and taxes

With time, the responsibilities and tasks will increase to include:

• Monthly reporting of financial results, balance sheets, cash flows, etc. to corporate HQ.
• Analytical review and forecast of client projects and financial results
• Supporting the local Managing Partner and management group with financial expertise.
• Developing the operating mode of the Brussels office's finance administration.

Profile

• Master's degree and 3 years of professional experience in this kind of function.
• Bilingual FR/EN or NL/EN
• Relevant professional experience in the accounting and financial control field.
• Proven experience in qualified accounting and reporting, as well as working in an international organization.
• Knowledge of the Belgian financial and accounting regulations is a must.
• Knowledge of Excel and practical experience working in a financial system are essential.
